Become a Supporter

Our exceptional artists, and their audiences, sit at the heart of all YCAT’s decision-making. But we are only able to work this way, thanks to the generosity and commitment of our supporters.

We receive no regular Government or statutory funding. This means donations, grants, gifts in wills, our partners and patrons all play a vital role in YCAT’s ability to function day-to-day. Over three quarters of our income comes this way, so any support YCAT receives from you, really does translate into direct support for gifted young musicians. Only with your help are we able to:

  • Provide a unique Programme of Artist Support, with expert advice, performance opportunities, industry contacts & more, for over 20 early-career musicians p.a.

  • Run our own concert series and events that share the best of YCAT musicians;

  • Foster nationwide audience access to exceptional classical music by connecting music promoters and venues - large and small - to outstanding musicians;

  • Develop our 21st Century Musician Toolkit, a free, online resource dedicated to the needs, know-how and wellbeing of professional and aspiring musicians;

  • Open up classical music to school-age and under-served audiences, with YCAT artists delivering masterclasses, workshops, outreach and mentoring in a range of diverse settings.

Every contribution we receive makes a genuine difference and moves us closer to the £500,000 we need to raise annually. We simply wouldn’t be here without the many individuals and organisations who choose to lend us their support.

If you have friends who you think may be interested in YCAT and supporting our work, or if you have connections to charitable trusts and foundations, liveries or like-minded companies, we are always grateful to receive introductions and to welcome new people to the YCAT family.

Thank you!
