YCAT is delighted to announce that violist Timothy Ridout is moving on to Harrison Parrott’s Roster for general management. A BBC New Generation Artist , he is already in demand around the world as a concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician and has just been awarded the inaugural Sir Jeffrey Tate Prize by the Hamburger Symphoniker.

The 2019/20 season sees him perform as soloist with the likes of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Bordeaux and Camerata Salzburg; and in recital at the Wigmore Hall, Auditorium du Louvre and Lucerne Festival among many others. Conductors he has worked with include Sylvain Cambreling, Christoph Eschenbach, Sir Andras Schiff and David Zinman; whilst his chamber music collaborations encompass projects with Nicolas Altstaedt, Joshua Bell, Frank Dupree, Isabel Faust, Steven Isserlis, Janine Jansen, Lars Vogt and Jonathan Ware.

A passionate advocate for exploring new and forgotten avenues of repertoire, the concertos of York Bowen and Miklós Rózsa will sit alongside those of Walton and Bartók in his repertoire, with multiple new commissions also being planned.
