We are delighted that the cellist Jamal Aliyev won 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the Windsor Festival International String Competition held in Windsor Castle on Saturday 30 March 2019.

The jury included Pierre Amoyal (violin), Wolfram Christ (viola), David Strange (cello), James Williams (Director, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), Alexander van Ingen (record producer) and Martin Denny (Windsor Festival director).
In June Jamal makes his debut performing the Elgar Concerto with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (22 June), and gives a recital broadcast by BBC Radio 3 at the St. Magnus Festival (24 June).
